子不学 断机杼; 养不教 父之过

I am just totally surprised to see how many Chinese parents coming here to discuss 孩子功课不好. If you go to SAT web site and pull the statistics on Asian's score, you will see we have the highest average scores. Most of the Chinese kids I have seen in our area are all at the very top of their school works. Most of them win at least one state competion every year.

If your kids are not taking all the honor classes and AP classes on schedule, they are in trouble. Most of the selective Universities have a hard limit on % of Asian students every year. In other words, your Chinese kid will compete with other Chinese kids for everything. Being above average is not good enough, you need to be above average among Chinese kids.

Of course, EC will be another 50% of the matter.
