6 year old should able to play grade3 minuet and sonatina.

What  is the purpose of learning piano? if the purpose is for fun only, and no family memeber to help when practice, I suggest to learn digital piano and singing. where the kid will learn harmony and compostion earlier than when learning piano.
when going down the path in the following years, remember your initial purpose --  for fun, please No forced practice. Or you will feel regret one day,that you have tortured the kid for years, only crop his hate towards music.
