Basically, eye patch and eye physical therapy.

There are "eye physical therapist" (might use different term; but same idea) in US. You can ask your eye doctor for recommendation. However, your insurance may not cover it.

BTW, it takes very long time (years) for "eye physical therapy". Your kid staying with mom is more important.
