Congressional Youth Leadership

Yesterday, we received the formal invitation package from Congressional Youth Leadership Council for my D to represent US. Other than a list of 43 congress men/women on their board, they even have a letter from President Bush.

They claim to be a none profit org and the program covers one week in New York and another one in DC. My D really wants to go and I would like to know if this is a real deal.

Other than checking with school conselor, what others ways could I do to evaluate this invitation?
