上中学的女儿 年级排名前三，

Could U please explain who do the school do their 排名? I will asume 年级排名前三 means third overall for the whole grade. If all her grades are around 90, I just don't see how could she ranked the third. In my D's school, you will have to get a 93 or better to get an A, and there are many all A students.

Like many other said, third overall isn't bad but definitely could be better. How many school or county or state titiles has she won?
