The point is that he does not have to do it. We already provide food, housing, and school supplies for him, free of charge. If he needs any thing other than basics, then and only then he has to work for it.

My son is a good kid. They paid him $40 for about 2 hours' yard work the first time. On the 2nd time, he only took $20 for the same work because " that is all I need for the calculator" he told my neighbor.
