现在进公司还有“backdoor check”:

The practice of a company checking a candidate's references or work history without the candidate's explicit permission is generally known as a "backdoor reference check". These are also referred to as "informal checks," "quiet checks," or "back-channeling," and involve contacting individuals known to the candidate.
