Yale has a priority on STEM and has been recruiting more STEM students. Yale, with UConn and supported by state of CT,  is hopeful for up to $160M NSF innovation engine award through QuantumCT, to to boost economic growth, develop talent, and advance quantum computing, sensors, and networking. NSF is expected to announce innovation engine award early 2026.
