One undergraduate in her advisor's group was just hired by openai as a reserach scientist. 12 rounds of interview. olympic math work team (?, not verysure). That student grauated 1/2 year early. Everyone else in the group is envious. 

He built up connection at AI and quant cross hiring social gathering in New York city.
