Here are the 2024 participation rates for the groups 65 and over:

  • Ages 65-74: 27.1%

  • Ages 75 and older: 8.6%

     

A 2022 analysis provides an even more specific look at the brackets around age 67:

  • Ages 65-69: 33.3% (one-third) were in the labor force.

     

  • Ages 70-74: 18.4% were in the labor force.
