Yesterday ppl on the rice waitlist got an email saying, 

 

“ We have determined that we have ten remaining places in our Class of 2029, and we hope to offer those places in the very near future. “

…

“ In recognition of this, we will award students admitted from the waitlist a one-time grant of $2,500 to cover expenses invested in enrollment and housing fees, as well as visits to that institution for admitted student events or orientation. “

 

chat is this actually squid game or what.. why are they telling us that they only have TEN spots available and will give $2.5k to the ppl accepted. they’re literally wanting us to play squid game.
