A top JD (especially from H/S Law, Y Law is a bit too scholastic) is more than enough to pursue a top business (or law) career.

MBA adds essentially 0 value to JD degree （except for wasting one extra year - true, that year may develop some extra networking opportunities, which you can also do at law school as well - easily mingling with kids from B-School)

Peter Thiel  had JD from S.   Vivek Ramaswamy had JD from H. 

JD degree draws more respect (than MBA), even within the domain of business.
