Some people enjoy 自己创业 (e.g., 刘备）, some people enjoy

working for others (e.g., 诸葛亮）. I would think, as far as they are happy, either way is OK. It is difficult to say 诸葛亮不求上进. If all the people always think about 自己创业, the society cannot function. Diversity is the key for the human race to move forward.
