my relatives who came to the US on a full scholarship in late 90's had never enjoyed his life in the US. He had decent jobs and raised a family in the US. His daughter who graduated from a top business school is now a VP at a NY bank. My relative grew more passionate about China after Xi took power and felt the US (and the West) was dying...He is in a process of moving back to find a surely happier life there.
