CAL POLY's CS is very competitive to get in.

it has a much smaller class size than UCB, the school definitely is more focused on teaching so students get a lot of attention from teachers. also, with its emphasis on practical learning, a lot of high-tech companies love to recruit Cal Poly students because they require minimal training. Plus, it costs less, so why not?
