四年前去nyu看学校觉得周围还是挺安全的，没想到现在已经是人人可危的情况，请大家转发

22年2月15日下午4：30，一名中国籍NYu学生在Stern大楼前突然遭到一名白人男子袭击。改学生被他一拳打在头部左侧太阳穴后倒地，爬起来时那个人已迅速跑开，所幸没有重伤。学生立即报告学校Public Safety，来了一名工作人员做了简单记录就离开了，没有表达任何对对学生身心的关心。该学生事后将他的遭遇和学校的冷漠发在Ins上，学校Public Safety官员又联系了他，当学生建议学校发Safety Alert提醒所有亚裔学生注意安全时，被告知没达到发文的要求。

 

在他发出Ins时，NYU另一位亚裔学生联系他，说三天前在同一区域相隔一个block的地方也被人以同样的方式袭击，向学校报告后至今校方无人跟进。

 

连续三天发生针对亚裔学生的校园袭击，看来不是偶然事件，因此请家长们提醒孩子们，校园内也并非安全之地，这类随机暴力事件可能会发生在每一个孩子身上，一定要注意安全。NYU是孩子和家长们都引以为傲的学校，爸爸正在给学校写邮件，希望NYU能积极调查和处理，找到施暴者，并采取更为有效的措施来关注亚裔学生的安全。

 

与AJ爸妈通话概要，供各位家长参考：

    1、事发后AJ第一时间报告了学校相关部门，来人查看后，并没有采纳AJ向学校师生发警告的建议。（感觉对方认为没什么严重外伤，不抅成安全事件）

    2、AJ随后发了ins，得到了很多学生声援，其中有个印度裔学生留言三天前遭遇过类似袭击，也报告学校了，也是如此平淡反应。因有部分同学@了学校，所以半小时左右，挍方又来电给AJ询问关心一下伤情，但仍未接受发警告的建议。

    3、AJ和印度裔学生初步沟通下来，认为袭击者大概率为同一人。并约好明天去报警，拟作为关联案件报案。

    4、AJ爸已向学校高管发邮件（见附件），并向纽约领馆发了邮件（见附件）

    5、AJ爸妈作为遇袭当事人父母虽愤概学校的＂不作为＂，使得印度裔学生遇袭后三天，AJ再毫无警备的情况下遇袭。但他们作为当事家长已尽量克制，注意邮件措词，向相关部门反应了情况及提出了建议和诉求。

    6、AJ爸妈感谢大家的关心和支持，发微信让大家了解此事，首先是为了及时警示大家注意安全。并希望大家先別急着发邮件给学校声援，给校方一两天回复邮件的时间，同时明天AJ和印度裔学生报案情况也会及时反馈给大家。届时，根据反馈情况，再看是否需要大家进一步声援帮助[抱拳]

Extremely Serious Safety Incident on NYU Campus - Shame on NYU
 
Dear Ms. Fleming, we are parents of NYU student, Sun Jingyan, Student ID N15638010. We are extremely shocked to learn that our son was attacked without any reason by a white male on the walkway in front of Stern Building at 16:30pm on 15 Feb 2022. Our son was knocked down and injured on left side of his face and ear. The attacker punched him and then ran away.
 
Our son immediately reported this attack to the public safety and registered this safety incident, nothing happened since then, no safety alert, no one seems care about this as it may be too normal to attract any attentions by the authority of university.  
 
My son circulate this incident on Instagram and he has received over 1,300 responses with cares and supports, he also found out that there was same attack in the same area to another Asian student three days ago, The other student reported the incident to public safety,  but nothing happened since then, even without any safety alerts to other students, which leads one more attack happened to our son this week.
 
We are very disappointed with the safety management of NYU, exposing the students in a very danger environment, anytime the attack could happened to anyone, today is our son, who would be the next tomorrow. Luckily it was just a physical attack, our son is alright, what if it was a attack by tools or weapons, the entire education in NYU would be senseless and useless without safety assurance.
 
As parents, we really concern about the safety management of NYU and appeal to you, as leader of NYU management to take immediate actions in safety assurance:
 
Safety alert as basic to all students
Support student report such assaults to Police
Measures to have surveillance in the public area, where the attacks may happens which may scare off someone who intend to attack students  
Any other actions and close attentions against such assaults to Asian students in NYU campus  
 
Two attacks to Asian students in the same area within one week, this is not an simple incident,  this is serial crime that must be stopped, particularly happened in NYU Campus!!
 
We would expect to hear from you what actions that NYU authority plan to take or have taken to prevent such serious safety incident repeat to other Asian students.
