But I feel it is risky just enroll the accepted college and wait one year for the hope come true.

Most of those whom I knew were in 5.x% or 6.x% (6 years ago) and were placed to Libral Art  under automatic admission. Some declared Engineering not even CS.  They ended with going to TAMU.
