This incident tells me two things

1. The powerful people in US encouraged the attacks on China. They want to punish China for not complying on issues such as currency.
2. The american public happily followed because of their deep rooted suspicion and dislike of China. They would probably tell you it is because China is a communist country. But it is not true. Just look at Russia.
