Some CS/math graduates become traders in HFT, but many quit after a few years.

Anyone's child or friends stay as a trader for many years?

Those majored in econ/finance/history/politics seem to go along the path of IB, then move to PE or HF.  Those people tend to stay in the profession.

What is your observation?
