S周围 is safe, USC 周围 is dangerous

We all know USC is not in a very desirable neighberhood.
But S is super safe because it is surrounded by Palo Alto and Menlo Park, 2 of the Bay Area's richest towns that are dotted with multi-million dollar houses, where Larry Page and Mark Zuckerberg live.
