The bill H.R. 1044 (s.386) "Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2019” is currently under debate in Congress and we ask you to petition for not passing the bill.

This bill aims to increase high-skilled immigrants, which is a good cause. However, under scrutiny of the current Priority Date schedule, this bill actually favors only one single country and allows the immigrants from this country to completely "flood" the Employment Based Green Card program due to their position in the Priority Date queue.

The consequences of passing this bill is detrimental. It will limit the immigrants from 2024-2029 to be PRIMARILY from one single country, which would effectively wipe out ethnic diversity in the skilled legal immigration system and be devastating to the US economy!
