模型教学：文化学习与冰山一角

美国中学生周记4

       开学进入第四周，这几天总看到7年级的老二拿着一个面巾盒进进出出，一问才知道是Social Study 的小项目，这让我有了深厚的兴趣。

项目名称：Culture Iceberg

学习内容：Culture

具体作法：

1、学习什么是Iceberg？

2、从学习、研究自身的文化开始，根据冰山现象，分类出显现文化，看不见的文化。

3、选择自已文化的6个点（其中要求3个可见的，3个不可见的）,借助Tissue box 贴上，并在课堂做介绍。

4、听其他同学的presetation, 学习各种文化。

    我觉得这种教学有多种好处：

1、自学：从自己的文化入手，熟悉并且容易表达；

2、学习一种认知方法：冰山现象， 学习用此方法看待文化现象，将来可以举一反三。

 

What is an iceberg?

Icebergs are pieces of ice that formed on land and float in an ocean or lake. Icebergs come in all shapes and sizes, from ice-cube-sized chunks to ice islands the size of a small country. The term "iceberg"? refers to chunks of ice larger than 5 meters (16 feet) across. Smaller icebergs, known as bergy bits and growlers, can be especially dangerous for ships because they are harder to spot.

3、动手: 用Tissue box 来操作，便于学习、记忆；

4、表达一次，认识升级（每个人做presetation)

5、从他人处学习，了解多元文化。
