first year: $250K (@kid's high school freshman year)

2nd year: $500K

3rd year: $1M

Stanford development office would quickly figure out that next year they will receive $2M ... what's more impressive is that this family is so consistent and showing "long-term" commitment. 

 

This is better than donating $2M just once - which these days won't be enough to secure a spot at HYPS via the "development office" route (i.e. legal back-door).

M is not buyable as no kid from these families would likely survive M's course load.
