For VC funds, they don't have to scrutinize every project

they are invested with. As long as one of them can make 20 to 50 times of their costs of capital, they are fine.

I have never trusted any venture capital sponsored projects unless I am convinced that the project has merits and the executives are top entrepreneurs.
