Nature and nerture, you need both. But hardworking is a must.

Successful people usually are not very smart people, because most smart people don't work hard.  Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are smart and hardworking people, that makes them successful.  Hardworking can make up for some of those nature shortfalls.
