Think carefully before seeking out professional advice

I would recommend not to place this young promising student under a professional advisor. She might learn something new  from the professional in the short term, but at what cost (not fees, nor time), but the limitation and restrictions the professional might impose.  Give her more time to read while she still has time to read and likes to read. It is possible that in a few short years, she might not have free time to read.
