math book, please help

I'd like to teach my kid some math at home. When I searched for website, just found there are so many books, SAXON MATH, MCP (modern curriculum press) math, singapore math, EPS math yearbook, ......

Can anybody tell me which one (or anyone not listed) is better? Also, for singapore math, is it the textbook used in singapore?
