I have said, race is a factor. No way around it.

Race represents the social-economical context and root, and it affects the perceived value of you as a student to the schools.

The admission decision is based on the perceived value, not the stats.

With the same stats, you become more valuable if you are black, simply because you become the very rare top in that group.

If you are Asian, you are merely one of the very large group of top academic students - your value to the school is lower.
