道听途说的一件小事

话说NN年前， 有位仁兄 X 在美念博士， 导师是大明鼎鼎的工学院院长， Y。 一日：

X::: Good Mornign Sir, you called me?
Y::: Come in, have a seat please.  Graduate School accepted 5 new PhD students from China. Here are their mterials. I have only one RA position available and need you to tell me which one is the best. 

X::: Sure Sir. 
Y::: Take them with you and be back to see me at 2pm.

Few hours later

X::: Good afternon Sir
Y::: Which one did you pick?

X::: Sir, they are all the best, I mean equally good.
Y::: I do not need you me to tell me that because I know. I need you to tell me whch one should have the RA.

X::: Sir, it is hard
Y::: I know and that is why I asked you to do it.   

X went to his lab and tossed coins a few times and said: 落选的兄第们， 对不起了
30 minutes later

X::: Sir, I have the pick
Y::: Excellent!

一个真实的故事， 想必众网兄或经例过。 推藤的人哭过了， 为啥几十年后， 被推的人接着哭？无语。
