标准化考试中的阅读与理解

我是阅读理解的高手，对付SAT，GRE的阅读如履平地。
阅读理解最重要的部分是正确答案必须是如下之一：
1。what the author stated;
2。what the author implied.

但很多学生就栽在这个implication上面：他们往往把assumption和implication混淆。
比如，作者文中有这样一句话：" I wish I had a daughter!"

基于这句话，有个选择题：

a. he has a son;
b. he likes daughters more than sons;
c. he has a dog;
d. his wife can not have babies;
e. he does not have a daughter.

这个题很简单，但从根本上明白了，SAT或GRE或其它考试的阅读，基本上没有问题。
