case: a guy, his mother left him to do business in Arab when he was small for several years, this young guy finally got depression when he growed up, and his mother regretted so much about the earlier separation. Although most likely the depression is caused by other factors too, but this is a forever pain of his monther.

I just don't understand: you can always pursue your career later, but kid can only be small once. If you chose to be a mother, you have the responsibility to raise a healthy kid, both body and mind. Early separation is really a negative experience for the kid.

from the kid's point of view, it is better to use harsh words to wake up this kind of mothers, if you really think they are harsh words.
