She attended a top liberal arts college, and then went to law school. Her parents are first generation immigrates who opened a small Chinese resturant. They don't speak English well even now. 

She works in non-profit organizations. So she doesn't earn a lot of money, but enough to lead a good life financially. She likes her job, enjoys helping people. She is happy at her career. I asked her if she would like to work in a law firm. She said it was not for her.
