alien. Maybe the teacher did not realize how bad this symbolic action would represent. But he did it anyways. I would absolutely told the teacher NO, if he dared to make such suggestion.
If someone poked the middle finger to you, would you just simply take it as a finger poking? Absolutely no, right?
But the second case is different. The teacher moved the child's seat to the front or would pick him to answer the questions, for the purpose of calling the child's attention.He did not harm him physically, or mentally.
I know some church school would punish the students by asking them kneeling in front of the cross. I can not take that either. But there are parents allowing it.
