1. The translation is minimal. It is pretty much limited to the titles of the pieces. Any knowledgeable musician/teacher should be able to tell by just glancing the notes. Most of our kids know enough Chinese to read them too.
2 & 3. They are not textbooks. They are some the most standard repertoire all advanced students should keep on their libraries.
