don't push them to jump a grade. I have seen a lot of kids all good. If you can't be on top, the sport will have bad affluence for appling college. My son's experience said this ( he could go to a DV1 team, but we stoped him ). But who care, as long as they can get in a decent college and a major which is one of top in the world, we don't need to go to those top ivy school. My second son also play a sport and usually, we spend all weekend outside for games.
