If he shoot 45 from red tee, yes he is ready. The local tour is actually for any kids can play golf. I will say he is probably in the middle of the field if he plays. The national championship one is a bit tougher. But I see kids learning golf for a few months and play in those big events. Although those are the exception. Sign him up, you never know!
