The top choice for students from New York is Columbia if we do not count HYP, etc.  Cornell is going to be the next choice.  Cornell's admission decisions are: accepted, deferred, wait listed and rejected.  One more: Guaranteed Transfer.  Students can be admitted to Northwestern, Vaderbilt, etc. and transfer into Cornell, which is guranteed.  Make your judgment.
