Chinese may be easy in high school so you can get high grades.  But Chinese AP has a particular high average score so it's very tough to be placed in high percentile.  Also, depending on the level, Chinese may be very tough in college though Spanish is not easy either in college.  If you are of Chinese origin then learning Chinese as secod language may not carry as much weight as other foreign languages though both Chinese and Spanish are very useful.
