No TV monday to Thursday, weekend Yes. Parents also don't watch. (speaking of sacrifying here)

Before they turn on TV, we agree on how long they are going to watch. (they love participating decision making) Time is up, they must turn off. Otherwise, NO TV the next time as punishment. I don't negociate, because we set the rule together and I don't repeat myself on the lecture, just remind them "What's the rule?!" They learned they have to stick with their words.
