Defer salary is the company's new benefit :-) Deferring salary is the same as you put your money into your 401K account every year. It’s legal. Company is a very stable well known public company and has about 20K employees. Deferring salary is nothing to do with honest, not decent and other your accusation!!!

Answer other people’s questions, 100K is total income of mine and my wife’s salary after deferring my half salary. For the payment, I can chose couple payments or lump sum payment.
