280 Commonly-Used American Slang - 1/3

不少人对slang有偏见,我对slang的定义也不是很确定,但slang不是脏话。个人感觉就是很口语话的词,说出来比较活泼,随意,逗人,很潮,年青人用的比较多。有一些slang只是某一些人群用,但很多slang都是在日常生活中能听到的,也有不少slang已和idoms融为一体。电影电视里也随处可见。很多时候,你听清了每一个字,每一个词,把这个字词写下来,你也认识,却不知道别人到底在说什么,这多半就是slang的问题。

这也是我平时看节目和杂志时的一个难点。在网上看到这个资料,280个常用slang,觉的还不错,就整理了一下,先贴1/3,和大家分享一下。

你也许不喜欢用,但知道也无妨;也许你用了都不知道,“big mouth”,“couch potato”也都在这儿划成了slang :-)
