Thanks Noddy,my son used to love Noddy when he was younger. 

You should concentrate on English, i.e. phonics/reading, spelling and writing--these are the areas we have been focusing on,he can read simple stories independently now like The Gruffalo.

As far as maths is concerned, I tend to agree with you, once the child gets the concept, it can be easy.
