请教: 我们几个月前买房

我们几个月前买房， 卖主给了他的房客3个月的通知， 本来房客说好月中搬走，我们月底交换合同，两周前她因为financial crisis 无法搬出，申请council house 被拒，卖主（房主）一怒把她告到法院。 请问这种情况，法院一般怎么处理， 要多长时间？

solicitor 说他从业30年没遇过这事，我跟妈妈说真是中六合彩的概率。We don't want to see that the tenant is forced out with no home to stay, but really nothing we can do.
