HMRC网站上就可以找到你要的信息，这个事情跟HOME OFFICE没有关系， HMRC说的很清楚 you must claim as a couple if you are:
married
a man and woman living together as if you are married
part of civil partnership
a couple living together as if in a civil partnership
you are still a couple even if you are living apart temporarily. For example, one of you is working away from home or you have separated on a trial basis.

所以没有可能按照单人来申请。 在你填TC600或者其他的TC表时，PERSONAL DETAIL PART1里面都有一个问题就是ARE YOU SUBJECT TO IMMIGRATION CONTROL in past three months？ 这个时候你就一定要写有.其他的HMRC自己就会处理的。
