For National Insurance, it doesn't matter how long or how much you paid, at the end of day everyone received the same amount of NI Pension....I may be totoally wrong, anyway this is a smallest chip of your pension :-)

For other pension funds you paid, it depends their performance until your retirement day. Then you are going to use the funds to buy an annuity investment which generates monthly income for you.
