请教英国绿卡问题

我从2000-2003居住在英国,硕士一年,并工作一年多(没工作准证,以PART TIME),做会计,有交税,后来工作准证被拒,就离开英国.现在我要回英读博士,大约3-4年,有希望在此其间申请到绿卡吗?博士地二年应该做TA,会开始交税...谢谢有经验的人指教
