ok let me give an example:

if your baby is sick. somebody came to tell you that he is ugly because the illness but don't tell you what to do. some people came to accept he is a sick ugly baby but need cure which you are doing it.

of course i would say go away to the first, or just take it as compliment 兼听则明, even if it is true temperoraly? come on guys! common sense!
