The problem is some Chinese don't see enjoying lives as goal or priority. They see how much $$$ they hold in bank account as their ultimate happiness. Americans don't want to live with tenants to grow estate value. Their philosophy is life is short and you should enjoy it. If you suffer your limited life to compensate for these $$$, what's the point of living your life ? But some Chinese don't care how much they have enjoyed their lives, as long as you tell them they have more $$$ in their account than others, they feel they have won. So the point is -- Do you see enjoying life as goal or earning a $$$ target as your goal ?
Many landlords spend their lives dealing with tenants, fixing houses in weekends. Ask them if they have enjoyed lives ? Is it worthwhile when they look back ? I am not sure if that's life style everyone should follow.
