Rental property issue. Please advice

I am trying to buy homeowner insurance for my rental propery and I was told I have to rent it out in 30 days, otherwise the insurance company will cancel the policy. I am not sure if I can rent it out in 30 days or not since it is rental down season now. Please advise.  Thanks a lot.
