Earning put premium is not an edge. Selling put is like selling insurance. In the long run you only come ahead if you can underwrite the policy effectively. It is a probability game.

There are always people who have superficial understanding of financial products trying to sell snake oils, especially brokers/advisors/money managers who do not risk their own money.
